Sleeping Baby

She loves sleeping with her hands behind her head. She is so precious!

Video Update

This a post for my family who is desperately in need of some video of their sweet Halle. The second one is of Halle's first banana. She is just like her mommy and despises them. Good Girl Hal! The first one is her cracking up at her dad who is abusing the dog with his craziness.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving Mike, Halle, and I went to my Aunts lakehouse in Georgia. It was great to see everyone and eat lots of southern home cooking! About a month or two ago my mimi was giving a speech to a nursing home ( I think) and she sang the song called Enjoy Yourself. She was so cute that they even put her on the news singing. My mom and Mac had a crazy idea to recreate Mimi's debut. They are too funny!!! Unfortunately, my mom was not able to make it to Georgia this year so I videotaped Mimi's reaction to her video. Here you go mom! Mimi had no idea it was you till you took your wig off and never knew Marge was Mac! I love you Mimi, you are so cute!!!

Craft Time

I have been wanting to sew Halle a dress.  I was shopping yesterday and saw a cute dress at a boutique and it looked pretty easy to sew. After one mess up of a dress, an uncooperative sewing machine, and no pattern I finally did it. No I will be sewing up a storm. We are going to go tailgate at the Clemson-Carolina game and I will have to make her a Clemson dress next.

Happy Birthday Granddad!!

This past weekend Halle and I took a trip to Winston Salem N.C. to visit my grandparents and aunts. My grandparents were so excited to meet their sweet great granddaughter. We all went to eat in the dining room of their retired living center and and my aunt Blair and cousin Angela sat back and watched Halle. Later they brought her down to meet everyone and it was like no one had seen a baby before. It was pretty funny to watch everyone ooh and aww over her. I also found out that Halle does not do good sleeping in a new environment. We both slept maybe four hours that night. What a nightmare. But we had a great time with the fam!

The Leaves are Changing

The leaves are at their peak right now and they couldn't be more beautiful! We took a drive up to the mountains the other day and did a little hike while the sun was setting. This is the first time Halle really enjoyed her front pack. She had a ball checking out the river rolling over huge boulders, watching Riley go crazy over all the sticks, and enjoying all the beautiful colors of the leaves.

My eyes look creepy here! I tried to reduce the red eye and it did something screwy.

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great Halloween weekend! On Halloween Mike and I went to a Halloween party at a friends house. Halle was dressed as a ladybug. She was so cute! I tried talking Mike into all of us being a ladybug family but he wasn't into it. I don't blame him. Saturday I hosted a neighborhood block party. We had a lot of fun catching up, eating, roasting s'mores and watching college football on the big screen. I'm sad I didn't take pictures of any of it. Here are pictures of Halle and a cute video from today. Mike had her cracking up and we got the tail end on video.

Halle's First Taste

Halle got her first taste to "real food", rice cereal. Mike fed her right after bath time and she loved it. She has been watching us eat with such amazement so we decided it was her turn. I fed her the next night and got drenched in white mush. She had just taken a big mouthful when all of a sudden she got a tickle in her nose and AHCHOO it splattered all over my face, shirt and pants. Too cute!!!

Swat them Yellow Jackets

Last Monday was a day most Clemsonites will never forget. After 9 1/2 years of coaching Tommy Bowden was let go. It's sad that he lost his job but it needed to happen, too much talent being wasted. Needless to say, Mike and I were excited to see what our new coach, Dabo Swinney, could do with our guys. The players were pumped and gave it their all but Georgia Tech still pulled out a win. It was an exciting game though. We were on the 50 yard line 4 rows up! We had a blast watching the game so close and tailgating afterwards. GO TIGERS!

Riley's 3rd Birthday

Today was Riley's 3rd birthday!! I remember so vividly the day Mike & I bought her. We immediately knew she was the one for us. She was so mellow and walked right up to us and wanted to play. She was so adorable. I remember her clumsily running right at my heels. We have had so much fun with her. She loves to play fetch. Watch out though, cause if you throw for her once she will never let you stop. She also cannot get enough of the water. She is the only dog who I've seen dunk only her head under the water for up to 15 seconds desperately looking for her stick that was just thrown. Mike will sometimes mess with her and instead of throwing sticks he will throw rocks. He is so mean.;) Poor Riley doesn't even stand a chance. She is full of energy and is the sweetest most loyal dog ever. I love you girl!!! Thanks for being so sweet!!

Today, to celebrate, we took a family outing to downtown Greenville. We walked all over Reedy River Falls Park and then walked trough downtown to a doggy cafe to get Riley a birthday treat.

We even got some work done. They have free wi-fi.  I think this may be our new office!

Professional Utah Pictures

We finally got our professional pictures from Utah back. We went up to the Wasatch Golf Course and the setting couldn't have been more beautiful and peaceful. We saw so many deer and wildlife. Everyone was dreading pictures but I'm so glad we did it. I love my family and feel so blessed that we are all so close.

Here are some last random pictures of our trip.
Uncle Rand was so sweet with Halle. Can't wait for you teach her all about the outdoors.

We had girls night at Camille's house one night. It was great catching up. Four of us are in education so it was fun talking teacher talk. Halle wasn't able to stay up late to meet everyone so Lacey, Camille, and Maylie came over the next day to say hey. I really miss my girls!

Halle was fascinated with the ducks at the Homestead.
Chandra surprised us with a visit. It was so fun seeing her and playing with her adorable boys.
Rand gave Blair and I a very vague idea of where he and David would be fly fishing all day. Maybe we should have listened a bit more. We set off on our wild goose chase looking for them and it turned out to be really fun. Mike got to see the prettiest part of the Provo River and we also got to pet and feed some horses. Afterwards we stopped for pizza in Midway and got to say goodbye to David before he left for the airport.

We headed to the river for a very relaxing hike. Blair and I walked up the river and it was freezing! Later I found out that my mom was dipping Halle into the ice cold river! Surprisingly she thought it was refreshing. She loves the nature.

Mike, Halle and I flew out to Utah for a week and had so much fun. We went out to learn what we are going to be doing for our new jobs together. We are so excited that my mom and Mac have given us this awesome opportunity to work together and spend more time with Halle! But more importantly we went so we could see some family and friends =) Halle did not like the plane ride out and she let everyone know about it! The first day we got there we drove over Guardsman Pass to SLC and had a huge breakfast and walked around Silver Lake.

Here is Halle and GG watching the ducks. Halle enjoyed them and one duck in particular really enjoyed the taste of Halle's...toe!
Crazy duck!
Here is Blair and I enjoying the mountain views while eating breakfast.
Breathtaking views on our drive over the mountains.  I am really getting homesick for the mountains.
